Description: Unreleased and unheard. Confirmed via producer Lil’ Skrapp/The Green Eyed Bandits as seen below in the quotes.  From my understanding TLC never recorded this song in full, but a demo version with Debra Killings singing lead and Lisa doing adlibs does exist.

“Recorded another song with all the girls and 3 more with Lisa.

The other song was called “#1 Fine Thang. the records we recorded with Lisa for her solo project was “Bounce”, “Cherry, Cherry”, “Lets Just Do It”.

The masters exist. Arista/Sony Vaults.  We have the tracks. some with vocals. we have all the originals we did with Lisa [recorded at] Doppler Studios, Atlanta.  my bro has a copy of all of those songs. I’d have to listen to which versions he has”

Description: Confirmed via BMI.  Recorded in 1994 for “CrazySexyCool” and featuring Jon B, this track was cut from the album and then put on the Bad Boys soundtrack.  The track appeared on early promo cassettes for the Bad Boys OST but was later cut from that album as well.  “Caught In Your World” is co-written by Left Eye, Jon B, & Babyface.  Chris@CyberTLC & Alex H. were able to purchase a copy of this rare track together and share with the fan community in 2016.

Left Eye…I had that moment in the studio with her, and that’s what I’m so grateful for. The song was never released, it was a song called “If I Get Caught In Your World.” And it was really cool because I remember all of the other songs on their album were songs that T-Boz sang and Chilli sang, but Left Eye didn’t really get a chance to really do her thing a lot. So this was a solo song of Left Eye. Actually oddly enough I sang on the backgrounds with TLC. If we could find that record and put it out. It’s probably with LaFace somewhere, in their files man ya know. Just to have that momment. I had it on cassette, and the cassette got lost or whatever, ya know. Just to have those burned into my mind now that she’s no longer here in the physical….definitely it’s an honor to have those experiences. -JON B

Description: Unreleased and unheard.  Demo track that 2nd Nature with Jermaine Dupri in the early days.  TLC talks about this track at the end of MTV’s “Past, Present, & Future” and sings a part of the track.  In Crystal’s book she says: “…rehearsing with Jermaine right away.  We started working on our first song, “I got it goin’ on,” but there was one problem, singing was not her [Tionne’s] strong point so Jermaine coached her into singing like Teddy Riley.  Jermaine felt that it would be a better fit for her to mimic his style and sing in a lower range.”  In 2016, Jermaine Dupri said the following: “TLC, we kinda built their sound.  TLC’s sound came from this one song I created called “I Got It Goin’ On.”  It was never released.  The way T-Boz sang on that record was the way that every song from that day forth sounded from TLC.  The sound of TLC, that was my concept.”

Description: MP3 Leak. Confirmed via ASCAP.  Left Eye originally gave this song title in an unscheduled chat with fans in 1998.  She said: “MINE OR TLC – LET’S JUST DO IT.”  So apparently even in 1998 they were unsure which project the track would work for!  The original version (with only T-Boz, the one Left Eye was talking about) was supposed to be included on the DVD for “Last Days Of Left Eye” but was not. A rep for the DVD sent an MP3 copy to fans who complained. This was the only release of the original version, as all future versions featured new production and vocals by Missy Elliott.  According to Lil’ Skrapp, the song was produced by The Green Eyed Bandits.

Gaga said she thought it fit TLC so well and gave it to them.HuffingtonPost: “Lady Gaga actually recorded a song TLC-vibish, but she was like, ‘I don’t want to disrespect the girls,’ and we were like, ‘girl, let’s do something with it,’ T-Boz revealed. “And so, she was just so excited…It was so funny [hearing] her [sing] like us, so hilarious. So I was just like, ‘why not sing it then?’ And she was just like so excited and we’re excited.”

Chilli: Yeah. And the song “Shout” is possibly that single. Enrique Iglesias worked on it. T-Boz: [And] Sheila E. Chilli: Sheila E! Yup, Sheila E was in the studio. Dallas Austin, you know, put all the stuff together. It’s gonna be awesome. It’s gonna be so good. ‘Cause T-Boz and Enrique are gonna kinda be, like, going back and forth on the verses. T-Boz: Yeah, I’m tryin’ to make him looove me. [Laughs] Enrique, do me right! Chilli: He is so cute, ooh! Mmm, mmm, mmm. He is so cute. T-Boz: I just hope that is going to be the single. We’re fighting for it. Come on! We’re kinda going back and forth. “Please record company, please let us do this one, then we’ll do ‘Dear Lie’ in the States next!” So, it’ll be a toss-up. So if you hear it on the radio, girl, you’ll know what happened, okay? [Laughs] I’ll put it like that. From Launch: TLC member T-Boz, born Tionne Watkins, told LAUNCH about the group’s recent recording session with Latino heartthrob Enrique Iglesias and R&B veteran Sheila E. T-Boz alluded to some political drama behind the release of the track. “We did ‘Shout’ with Enrique Iglesias and Sheila E. You know, she’s down with the Prince camp…I like her. [“About Dear Lie”-StQ2] But that’s going to be released overseas right now, regardless of what’s going to come out over here. So it’s a political thing, but the group is fighting for ‘Shout’ and I hope everybody else does, too, because the remix is hot, and right now Latinos are doing it.”The “Shout” remix is indeed a unique collaboration. Enrique is the son of Latino pop legend Julio Iglesias. He is set to release his debut English-language album on Nov. 23. Sheila E is the R&B/funk veteran who catapulted to the top of the charts in 1984 with “Glamorous Life.” For T-Boz, it was an honor to work with the two artists. “He’s cute as all get up,” she said of Iglesias. “You know, I think he’s cool. And I think that it’s a privilege to work with him…[and] especially Sheila E.”
